Frecuency wavenumber analysis of strong ground motion in Mexico City

An analysis of frequencywavenumber (fk) spectral power densities of strong ground motion recorded by the Mexico City Accelerometric Network (MCAN) is presented. Time series of a seismic event recorded by the MCAN are analysed. Each recorded motion is assumed to be the insight of a homogeneous random field whose spectral representation reveals an assortment of propagating waves.
